Rick Ahnger
Operations Manager

As Operations Manager, Rick brings 20+ years of versatile experience in the investment industry working in diverse roles such as account supervision, trade allocation and portfolio reconciliation.  In his role at MCM, he is the primary source of all account issues, including performance reporting and investment execution.

Rick began his investment career executing orders on the floor of the Chicago Board of Trade and, for the past two decades in Northern California, held critical positions on global trading desks as well as middle-office roles requiring the highest levels of competence, confidentiality and orientation to detail.

Because of the wide range of events Rick has experienced, from the “irrational exuberance” tech bubble to the recent global credit crisis, he maintains composure and focus through investment volatility and provides a flexible approach to any account-related issues that present themselves.

Rick received the four-year Evans Scholarship to the University of Illinois as an undergraduate and received his B.S. in Finance in 1990.  He moved to the Bay Area from Chicago in 1995 and currently lives in San Francisco with his wife of 12 years and their twin six-year-olds.  When he’s not chasing them around the city, he loves to spend his time watching and teaching baseball, camping, hiking, reading and playing guitar.
