Jason Fry joined UMB in 2018 as senior vice president and a national director of business development in the Corporate Trust and Escrow Division. Jason’s primary focus will be on UMB Bank’s continued growth and providing an unparalleled customer experience to support our clients and business partners across the US. In addition, Jason has over 26 years of corporate trust and escrow experience.

Prior to UMB, Jason served as the Michigan state manager for U.S. Bank’s Global Corporate Trust and Escrow Group. He has worked on numerous bond, project finance and escrow transactions with healthcare systems, higher education, municipalities, corporations, private equity firms, state authorities, charter schools, non-profits, manufacturers, and power-coops both nationally and internationally.

In 1997, Jason started his Corporate Trust career with Bank One in Indianapolis, IN. He relocated to Grand Rapids, MI in 2003 to manage the local Corporate Trust office and a large complex portfolio for LaSalle Bank. U.S. Bank acquired LaSalle’s Corporate Trust business in 2006 and Jason was with U.S. Bank from 2006 – 2018.

Jason studied at Purdue University and at Indiana Tech. He graduated from Cannon Corporate Trust School in 2001. Jason is a board member and president of the Bond Club of Detroit.
